Kong? Racist?

I understand the concept of a metaphor. I get it.

But shouldn't people be worried about non-metaphorical racism? I mean, how about how a law-abiding black man who gets pulled over in his car for a routine traffic stop? How does the police officer treat him? That's a potential for racism that's NOT a metaphor!

When I read this, I just sighed. I'm so tired of people finding racism everywhere they look. It distracts from the legitimate problems, and makes people tired of the whole subject. As a result, nothing will be done about that guy in his car, at the mercy of a cop with who-knows what preconceptions.
